- Economical: Being lightweight it reduces the dead weight of the buildings thereby saves substantial structural cost (approximately 15- 20%).
- Saves labor: Wall construction becomes faster due to its lightweight and large size. It saves labor cost (around 15%) and is very easy to
handle.
- Improved thermal efficiency: Due to its aerated nature, it reduces the cooling load in buildings by almost 30%. It also helps in keeping the buildings relatively warmer in winters.
- Saves Mortar: Uniformity and accuracy in its size require less plastering material and being large-sized it requires very less joining material. This leads to around 70% saving in mortar in wall construction.
- Eco-friendly material: The very nature of the product (utilizing recyclable material- fly ash), its production process (approx. 50% less greenhouse gas emission) and method of application have minimum environmental impact.
- Earthquake protection: During earthquake chance of a building collapse is proportional to buildings weight. AAC blocks substantially lower the chances of collapse as it reduces the dead weight of the building.
- No water seepage: Absence of capillaries (no capillary action) due to air pockets, AAC block does not allow water seepage from ground, and also from exterior to interior of wall. It also has a lower water absorption ratio (Max. 20%).
- Fire resistant: It also has superior fire resistance than clay brick.
- Non-toxic: There are no toxic gases or other toxic substances in autoclave aerated concrete. It doesn’t attract rodents or other pests.
- Long lasting: The life of this material is extended because it is not affected by harsh climates or extreme weather changes.
